寒假里我读了一本美国作家乔辛.迪.波沙达的小说《傻瓜维特》，这本书给我很大的感触。
书中主要讲述了维特是一名早产儿，上学时的IQ测试得了73分，很不幸这件事被同学达夫偶尔听见啦，这件事被传开后，调皮的同学像是掌握了有力的证据，更加肆无忌惮的欺负他。面对同学的冷落和讥笑，使维特变得更加不自信，说话结结巴巴的，他甚至面对亲人时都不敢抬头。一个偶然的机会，维特结识了同样不自信的罗拉—唯一一个真诚对他的人。然而，第一次相见，他们都没有主动说话，就不欢而散啦，但维特认为自己终于有朋友了。岁月如梭，他们长大了，再次相遇时，维特带给罗拉很多惊喜：背诵《不列颠百科全书》，能记住美国的所有城市以及邮政编码。命运终究眷顾着认真生活的人，好奇心改变了维特的人生，让他成为了著名公司的一员。这样巨大的改变让维特很不适应，在公司他不善言辞，与同事没有交流也没有朋友，他再次陷入了自卑的痛苦中，他自认为无法胜任这个职位。与此同时，罗拉通过一个活动见到了“背诵王杰克”，知道了一个天大的秘密有人比他IQ还高，这人正是维特，他把这个事情告诉了维特，后来维特当了门萨协会的会长，变得十分自信。
通过这本书我知道了一定要相信自己，不到最后一刻永不放弃。在追寻成功时，会经历千辛万苦，也许会苦涩不堪，也许会痛心疾首，但永远不能放弃自己。
