12月5日是“国际志愿者日”，为在淄川弘扬志愿者服务精神，12月3日，在本报组织下，近30名志愿者参加了志愿者服务活动。爱心志愿者走进老年公寓，为老人打扫卫生、陪老人聊天读报，用爱心让老人们感受到了温暖。
3日上午，尽管天气寒冷，但这并没有挡住志愿者奉献爱心的脚步。9：00许，由20余名山东星辰供水公司职工组成的“情润般阳”志愿者队伍，自带铁锨、笤帚、抹布等清扫工具，来到淄川经济开发区老年公寓，参加志愿服务。在现场，志愿者分成卫生清扫组、爱心聊天组等小组，为老年公寓里的老人打扫卫生，擦洗玻璃。部分女性志愿者则围在老人身边，为他们读报、梳头、聊家常。“这些孩子们真热情，为我们清扫卫生、陪我们拉呱，就像自己的亲闺女一样。”住在老年公寓的张大妈拉着志愿者的手，不停地向采访人员称赞。另外，由数名志愿者组成的维修小组则仔细对老年公寓里的供水设施进行检查，哪个阀门松了，志愿者及时上前拧紧，哪条管道生锈了，志愿者们马上上前擦拭。这也让老年公寓的工作人员感动不已。
与此同时，几名志愿者来到般阳、柳泉社区部分老年人家中，上门参加志愿服务活动。“自己出一份力，让社区里的居民高兴高兴，我们就感到很满足了。”志愿者小马说。
活动结束后，对于志愿者们的热心，居民们感动不已，纷纷竖起大拇指称赞。而对于参加国际志愿者日活动，志愿者们也高兴不已。“赠人玫瑰，手有余香，相信会有越来越多的人加入到为社区奉献爱心的团队中来。”志愿者们表示。
