你要让年少的孩子去吃麦当劳，好吧，由你。你要让他们吃肯德基？好，请便。但，能不能，在他年少的时候，在小学，在中学，或者在大学，让他有机会坐在一间中国式的房子里。让他眼睛看到的是中国式的家具和摆设，让他手摸到的是中国式的器皿，让他——我这样祈祷应该不算过分吧——让他忽然对自己说：“啊，我是一个中国人！”
音乐有教室，因为它需要一个地方放钢琴。理化有教室，以为它需要一个空间放仪器。“国父思想”和“军训”各有教室，体育则花钱更多。那么，容不容许辟一间国学讲坛呢？这样的梦算不算狂妄呢？如果我说，教国文也需要一间讲坛——那是因为我有一整个中国想放在里面啊！
